Wheaton IL (April 2, 2013) —Crossway is pleased to announce several significant updates to the ESVBible.org platform. The free online study tool offers users the ability to read or listen to the full ESV Bible text. By setting up a free account, the user can highlight, share verses, and add their own notes. Each month the site receives over 1 million visits.
With these new updates, ESVBible.org is now fully compatible with mobile devices. It features a responsive design that will automatically resize to fit any laptop, tablet, or smartphone. New reader modes and theme options have been added, including nighttime reading and the ability to remove section headings from the text if desired. In addition, Crossway has added a variety of new apps for purchase. Users can now acquire study tools such as the ESV Global Study Bible and several Preaching the Word commentaries. Free ebooks are also available with many app purchases.
Jason Park, Crossway’s Director of Digital Projects, says, “We’re very excited about the new updates to ESVBible.org. The team has worked hard to provide a responsive website for desktop and mobile devices, creating a platform that puts the Bible text at the forefront and allows for greater clarity and readability, plus offers additional resources to help with biblical engagement and inspire biblical living. We look forward to the ways God will use this tool to equip the church for his mission and purpose.”
