Wheaton, IL (January 4, 2013)—Crossway is pleased to announce two awards received from the 2013 Christianity Today Book Awards on December 28, 2012. Out of 455 titles submitted, The Hole in Our Holiness by Kevin DeYoung and God is Love by Gerald Bray received Awards of Merit in the Spirituality and Theology/Ethics genres respectively.
The Hole in Our Holiness: Filling the Gap between Gospel Passion and the Pursuit of Godliness by Kevin DeYoung received an Award of Merit in the Spirituality category. In his timely book, DeYoung navigates the intricate relationship between grace and holiness. He challenges Christians to take holiness seriously—to work out our salvation with fear and trembling as God works in and through us according to his good pleasure.
God is Love: A Biblical and Systematic Theology by Gerald Bray won an Award of Merit in Theology/Ethics. Bray has written a systematic theology book that is accessible to theologians and non-theologians alike. The book traces the theme of God’s love through major Christian doctrines, challenging readers to grow in their knowledge of and relationship with this God of love.
